Answers:

How much does all this cost ?

We offer a complete WebCentral Package including 5 free hours design (pay for five, receive ten), an ongoing unique behind-the-scenes maintenance plan, domain name registration and renewal fees, discounted additional design and updates, regular reports, statistics and more for a standard quarterly fee of $200 plus your choice of hosting plans (GST is additional).

In all cases, our primary aim is a professional, consistent and attractive layout at an affordable cost to our clients. It is about as close as we can get to providing a fixed price package for small business (the only variable being additional design/updates requested after the initial ten hours).

For details of the WebCentral Package click here.

We also have a basic Domain Package available for only $250 plus gst for a whole year!

The Domain Package caters for customers on a very tight budget, who have registered (or would like to register) their domain name and would like to start taking advantage of it immediately, but may not yet be ready for a full multi-page web site.

For details of the Domain Package click here.

Customers outside Australia please note: All prices/charges indicated are in Australian Dollars. However, orders are also taken outside Australia. If you would like to get an indication of these charges in your own currency, pay a quick visit to The Universal Currency Converter ™ .

Why do you offer initial complimentary web design?

Every site has different needs and every site we create is unique - no templates are used (check out our portfolio to see what we mean). 5 complimentary hours design is included in the WebCentral Package, allowing us some creative space to gather materials and come up with an original design, consistent structure, navigation and general theme of the web site.

Generally, by the end of the initial ten hours (our 5 combined with your initial 5 pre-paid hours) your site will contain significant content. In most cases, however, we would expect further work to be desirable before the site is ready to "launch" and settle into a maintenance phase.

However, with the initial hours spent primarily on setting up a structure and general format across the site, the subsequent addition of content and additional pages are normally very efficient, as the site's original "template" or theme has been established.

What does the Webmaster Maintenance Plan mean?

Up to three hours per quarter is allocated to behind-the-scenes maintenance of your site. It is important to understand this does not include design or content updates requested by you. It is derived from our checklist of items essential in the  maintenance of  any good web site and is tailored to the needs of each individual site. Regular time must be allocated to maintain the effectiveness, functionality and "freshness" of any web site and in our view this is quite often the missing ingredient in many shoddy small business sites on the web.

Our guidelines of typical issues covered in the Webmaster Maintenance Plan are listed here.

What is meant by "Hosting"

Hosting is the term given for the service that allocates space for publishing your web site on a computer with a permanent connection to the World Wide Web (a “web server”), making your site visible to all internet users around the world.

WebCentral is Australia's biggest and most experienced host provider. As an official WebCentral Partner we can offer our customers exclusive plans with higher data and storage limits and other features that are not available to retail customers.

See our separate FAQ page for more detail about hosting.

Why are the costs so low compared to others ?

Our prices are low for a number of reasons;

We are a young company eager to create an impressive portfolio,
We are a small operation with negligible overheads,
We save on costs and time through strategic partnerships with the biggest host providers in Australia and the biggest domain name registrars in Australia,
We take pride in our work and are motivated by a strong desire for experience and achievement  (rather than profit-driven),
We believe that continual high standards and integrity coupled with affordable solutions and satisfied customers will generate business success through volume.

Do we need to maintain an account with an Internet Service Provider?

Yes, as we do not provide internet access. Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) is still required to enable you to access the internet, however you DO NOT NEED THEM TO HOST your web site or manage your domain (hosting fees and domain fees are included in the WebCentral Package).

It is still important to have a reliable, quality service through your ISP as your web browsing and email service will only be as reliable as your connection provided by your ISP.

How can we arrange this when we are in another State or country?

Through the wonders of the internet, we can create and maintain your web site remotely - even if your business is located in another State or even another country ! There is certainly no need for us to waste your time in meetings, and it can even be achieved without a single phone call!

Once you contact us, we ask questions about your company and establish what you want to achieve on the web. Then we request your company's logos, graphics, artwork, information, sketches of your ideas (optional)  etc. to allow us to design a site for you.

You can send this material in the post, and they will be returned to you when finished, or via e-mail if possible. Similarly, requests for updates or additions to your site can be sent via post, fax or e-mail and will be completed as a matter of urgency - an up-to-date site is a dynamic and interesting site which entices return visits from your customers.

All tax invoices are sent via e-mail and payment is accepted by cheque, credit cards or direct bank transfer (easiest for overseas customers).

What would be our web site address (URL) ?

We register and manage your internet business name (domain name) on your behalf using our Total Domain Name Management service, included in the WebCentral Package, making your site's address, for example, www.acme.com.au, subject to availability and eligibility.

What if we are not satisfied with the web site design ?

inTouch web services Pty Ltd pride themselves in achieving complete customer satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the design of your site, we will discuss ways to address your concerns and make additions or design changes to your requirements.

Our view of good design is simple - it is what the CUSTOMER thinks is good design. If the customer likes bells and whistles with hot pink over an orange backdrop, then that's how their site will develop...Ok, well we may try to talk some sense in to them, but you get the idea...

As we are eager to expand our  portfolio with impressive sites, we will do everything possible to ensure that your site is "pixel perfect".

This is our guarantee to you.

How would our customers know about our site ?

Once your site is established and posted, you can begin advertising the address via your normal advertising channels, and let your customers know that you are now "connected".

We submit your site to multiple popular search engines as part of our unique Webmaster Maintenance Plan so new customers can find your site whilst searching on the net. Effective search engine listings are treated as one of the highest priority with new sites and our proactive approach in submissions to individual search engines and regular checking enhances the possibility that your site will be found by potential customers amongst the millions of other sites on the Net.

It is also important for you to advertise your site address everywhere ! Do not let a potential or existing customer interact with you without them becoming aware of your web site. Through the use of signs, business cards, stationery, invoices, email signatures, voice messages, mail-outs, flyers, stickers, fridge magnets, calendars, phone or face-to-face enquiries,  print advertising and other media advertising you can let the world know about your new site.
